In the Bharmour region of Chamba district, Manimahesh Kailash is revered as a home of Lord Shiva. Each year, pilgrims walk from Hadsar through the Budhil valley to the glacial lake at its foot, to bathe in its waters and offer prayers. The peak itself has never been climbed — it is held in reverence, not conquered.
